Announcing our Inaugural Novel Contest Winner!
We’re thrilled to announce the first winner of our first quarterly contest: Matthew Gasda’s Seasons Clear, and Awe. Starting this Saturday, we’ll serialize the remaining chapters of the novel here on the Substack, at the pace of one chapter a week. Do catch up with the first four chapters in the meantime:
As we say in our manifesto, we want to lend all of our finalists the opportunity to build a Substack following of their own, so if any finalist decides to continue serializing their novel elsewhere, you’ll be hearing from us about it.
In addition to our regularly scheduled programming, we have some new features in store in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
The deadline for submissions to our next contest is January 21st, 2026. It’s never too early to submit: throw your hat in the ring, and spread the word.
